Launch of My Perinatal Self Care Workbook - Audiobook Version
Mid West ARIES is excited to announce a new addition to their “Perinatal Self Care – Taking Care of Me” mental health initiative in partnership with the Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Team UMHL. As part of their ongoing commitment to innovation and accessibility, they have launched the audiobook version of “My Perinatal Self Care Workbook”, co-produced by women attending the Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Service in University Maternity Hospital Limerick.
Since first launching in November 2023, hundreds of women across the mental health service and the Mid West region have used the workbook and its online companion course to help them create a personalised, practical self-care plan that will help them to improve their health and wellbeing during pregnancy, early motherhood and beyond.
Mid West ARIES along with the Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Team want to ensure that any woman who needs this workbook can get it when they need it, in whatever format suits her best, in particular to bridge the gap for anyone with additional accessibility needs. This audiobook version is in an easy-to-listen format and is free to listen to or download. Accessing the audiobook is easy: simply scan the QR code on the attached poster or click on the link. No need for app download or account setup. Please share with any woman you feel may benefit.

Measles is a highly infectious disease that can cause serious complications, particularly in children under the age of 12 months, pregnant women, and the immunosuppressed.
Measles cases are rising internationally and already this year in Europe there have been more cases of measles reported than in the whole of 2022.
In August 2023 the HPSC reported a small number of cases of measles in Ireland, the first outbreak since 2019.
