MAU Nenagh Hospital
I wish to say that all the staff at Nenagh Hospital are so efficient and kind and put me at my ease. Although they were so busy they were all so professional

ED University Hospital Limerick
I was woken in the middle of the night by unusual severe bowel distress while staying in a hotel in Ennis. The hotel staff believed it was best to call an ambulance. The ambulance EMT took an ECG and was attentive to a feature he believed could be a serious cardiac problem (I am middle aged and have a history of heart surgery). I was taken to the Limerick hospital Emergency Dept. I received skilled and compassionate care throughout a stay of about 12 hours. The ED physician, who was also concerned about the ECG, enabled me to use a computer to obtain a recent recording in the electronic records available from my hospital website in the USA, which resolved his concern. On release, the hospital concierge arranged for my taxi back to the hotel. Everyone I encountered working at the hospital was kind and helpful throughout.

UHL ED and Ward 3D
On Monday evening of 8/4/2024 my father was brought by ambulance from Ennis to your emergency department. I would like to express the gratitude of me, my family and my father for the excellent attention and treatment he received on arrival and during his stay in hospital, a sincere thanks to the following:
- the Rapid Paramedic who initially treated my father in Ennis
- the ambulance crew who transported him from Ennis to Limerick
- the doctors and especially the nurses in the Resus area who treated him during the night
- the doctors and nurses who looked after him during his stay in ward D3
- the security staff who were very accommodating in allowing access
- the catering staff who gave him his meals
- the cleaning staff who maintained the wards
Please pass this on to the relevant people if possible but know that we all appreciate the great work done in UL even under the most difficult of circumstances
Sincere thanks again to all

Ward 8D UHL
My lovely Dad was transferred to 8D during the night/early hours of the morning, he was in palliative care and was going to a room to pass away.
I cannot thank the staff on this ward for the precious gift they gave us that awful day. They made my Dad very comfortable, he had the most comfortable breathing he has had in years. He was so comfortable and finally out of pain. We got to spend his last precious moments with him.
My lovely Dad passed away so peacefully. It was such an honour to be present for this.
The nurses on duty that night were so respectful to Dad. They were so kind to us. When Dad passed they treated him with such dignity and care. We will be forever grateful for allowing Dad to pass peacefully and for us to be with him.
We were given teas and coffees, afforded time with Dad after he passed. I cannot express how wonderful and respectful all the staff were. I would love all the staff on duty that night and day to know the profound positive effect they have had on us. We are eternally grateful
Aileen
