UHL Emergency Department and Ward 2D
My mother attended the UHL hospital from Oct to Dec 2023. Upon admission to A&E right through to the short term care in ward 2D our family found a very positive experience in service and care. A special mention and thanks to all the staff in 2D and Dr. Peters & her team. Well done to all and thanks very much. A good experience in UHL, keep up the good work.

UHL Paed Emergency Department
My son was referred to A&E on Christmas night. We were seen by triage nurse Collette who was extremely nice and so caring. She made us all feel at ease and was so kind to my son. Promptly after being triaged we were called by a doctor Kevin McMahon. He was extremely nice and listened to us. Not once were we made feel uneasy etc. he left no stone unturned and throughly checked out our son and after a few hours we were thankfully on our way home with our little boy and a list of medication!!
The two staff members we encountered are so good at there jobs and extremely kind. We had been at the doctors numerous times over the weeks previously but our son was not improving at all. 2 days later after Kevin McMahon prescribing different medication etc he is a new little boy.

I would like to thank health care assistant Patricia on ward 7A for being so kind to my dad, he was admitted on the 16th December and moved to isolation on the 17th December, Patricia was extremely kind to my dad and my family, she was empathetic and supportive to my dad, we are forever grateful for her support and for lifting my dads spirits over Christmas thank you Patricia.
I also want to thank Dr Martin Davey, specialist registrar in orthopaedics for his kindness and professionalism, my dad had a hip operation this morning and had previous admitted to ward 7A with RSV and urinary retention, Martin was extremely empathetic towards me but also professional and kind in a way that I can never thank him. Myself and my family are very thankful
