UMHL
I would just like to extend our thanks and appreciation to all the staff that looked after us, from admissions, labour induction ward, delivery suite, postnatal ward M2 and the neonatal ward, we felt very well supported, listened to and looked after before, during and after the birth of our baby. Staff are clearly working under difficult conditions with low staffing levels, long hours and poorly designed and cramped accommodation. Thank you to all staff that supported us, you all do amazing work.

Nenagh Surgical Day Ward
I have NEVER been treated with such kindness and empathetic professionalisim. I often wonder where the best nurses are to be found, and I now know its here. Expert in holistic care, the nurses here are consummate professionals. I am humbled to be cared for by all of the staff here. No words can convey my gratitude.

Nenagh Surgical Day Ward
I was looked after by 2 nurses on the surgical day ward last Friday one named Linda and one named Deirdre kiely. They were the most pleasant nurses I have dealt with , just so genuine, caring, kind and understanding. They were busy but able to find the time to chat to their patients also. A credit to their department.

Nenagh Medical Day Ward
Our 15 yr old daughter had elective surgery in the Day Hospital and we wanted to impart our experience being so positive. From the consultant team Mr Moloney to the porter, student nurse, HCA and all the nursing staff... we are very grateful for such personal and professional care.

Ennis OPD
My 3 year old had a routine appointment with a consultant in the Ennis opd. The whole experience was a pleasure from how convenient it was to access and park at the OPD to how bright and clean and comfortable it was inside. Everyone we met from the receptionist, the nurses and the consultant were so kind and friendly to both of us. The receptionist gave him some pages and crayons to use while we waited, one nurse offered to help me when he was reluctant to go into the bathroom and another took the time to show all the kids where the TV showing children's channels was and offered to change the channel in the main waiting area. We only needed to wait for a minute or two which was also much appreciated but I know not always possible! Thank you very much to everyone in Ennis

ICU - UHL
My mum Kathleen was a patient in ICU in the university hospital Limerick before she was moved to Dublin. The team in the ICU were amazing and took such great care of my mum. Dr Fitzgerald was so kind and caring and everything you look for in a consultant when your worried about a loved one. As a nurse myself I know the pressure that the healthcare service is under and I just want to pass on my thanks for making a difficult time so much easier.

ED UHL
Early morning my wife had an accident and was brought to A&E Limerick Community hospital.
She is a fellow health care professional and after her experience she asked me to send this message of support.
From a patients point of view she has nothing but praise. From the ambulance crew who were lovely to the ct for brain and neck and bloods taken, the doctors and nursing staff were excellent. Efficient, polite attentive and knowledgable. We were even fed soup and sandwiches, an incredibly welcome surprise.
She would like you to please pass on this positive review to the hard working staff.
Well done and thank you all.
Keep it up you're doing great.

Trauma Ward and Croom
I wanted to write to thank you for the wonderful care my mother (Colette Holmes) received at Limerick Regional in Oct/Nov. We only had a positive experience from the time the ambulance picked Mum up after her fall.
The team on the ‘Trauma Ward’ were fantastic and took great care of Mum. Despite the challenges of Covid and the general busyness of the hospital you were all very understanding of Mum and accommodating of the family members as we were all traveling from far. She was just so well cared for, and the operation was a success too. She also had a super experience in Croom, and I have written to them also. Mum is now at home, well recovered and looking forward to Christmas.
Please share this e mail with the relevant teams and I wish you all and your families Nollaig Shona.
Thank you!

ED and Paeds Sunshine Ward
We met the most loveliest Dr Ali in the ED on wed 21st. He looked after Ellie so well and was kind, gentle and did everything to put her at ease. We were blown away when he dropped McDonalds to our room after a chat about what she’d love to eat. Ingrid and Tenjueua were also so nice and calm and caring in the ED. It’s a stressful, pressurised environment but these staff did not let that show n took time to answer my daughters questions and reassure her. Ingrid brought her Christmas annuals to keep her entertained on the ward. We then met fantastic staff on the sunshine ward. June, Francis, Saoirse, Cara, Louise and Anjely. All patient and kind. Saoirse asked Ellie what name she liked to be called. They spoke to Ellie and addressed questions to her. Which I think allowed ellie relax a bit. Louise explained to Ellie why she needed to be drinking in terms ellie could understand and engaged with me proactively on my concerns. The staff are under huge pressure n so busy but this is not felt from them. I never felt rushed and always felt they were v engaged in my daughters care. The food also was lovely. Had a Christmas dinner and Santa visited the ward. A big highlight. Playroom staff brought Ellie items to occupy her. I want to say a huge thank you to all the staff for such fantastic care, wish everyone a lovely Christmas and my thoughts will be with the staff in the challenging months ahead. The level of professionalism and care shown under pressure blew me away and I am in awe of how they go about their work of patient care. It is an example for me to follow in my own work and I leave inspired and v appreciative. THANK YOU FROM ELLEN & PATRICIA
Ellie says the staff are v kind and kid friendly and says she had a great experience with everyone
