Medical Assessment Unit - UHL
My Dad was admitted on the 5th March and was cared for in the MAU for the length of his stay(11 days in total).We as a family wish to compliment the entire staff who cared for him and for their kindness to us when we were there. We found his care to be efficient and his discharge home so very well coordinated. UHL receives alot of criticism but in our experience we have only the very best to report. Just a quick few words of thanks to nurses Jackie, Ellen and another lady,whose name I missed, who helped me this morning with a blood test. Giving blood is never easy for me but all three women were courteous, professional, understanding and kind and we got there in the end. It was a busy unexpected start to the day so thanks again. HDU, ED and Ward 3A - UHL
I am writing this email to convey a heartfelt thanks to all the staff from the above wards from myself and my family. I was a patient at the end of March this year. The care, compassion, and professionalism from everyone was exemplary. The doctors, nurses, auxiliary staff, physios, porters and cleaners showed such care for me and nothing was too much trouble despite how busy and hard they were working.
They were also very generous with their time when speaking to my family. My husband would especially like to thank a gentleman called Barry, who he said went the extra mile in finding out about me when I was in HDU.
I did get admitted via the emergency department and my recollection of my time here is very vague but I do recall their concern and kindness to me. I recall voices telling me what was going on and what was going to happen next.
Whilst I hope that the staff from all these area's will be made aware of this email, I also hope that it will come to the attention of their managers. The staff work very hard with dedication and diligence that all their manager's should know about, especially under such busy and trying times within health care.
Once again, thank you all very much. I truly appreciate all you did for us.

Paediatrics & ED UHL
I am a clinical nurse manager working in a dialysis unit in Dublin. I was away in Clare with my family last week for a few nights when my daughter spiked a temperature and had a febrile convulsion. We were brought by ambulance from the Inn at Dromoland to the hospital in Limerick where we received exemplary care from the minute we got there until discharge home the following day. The hospital was also spotless. It's rare that you hear about positive experiences particularly in this climate so I wanted to share mine with you. Every single staff member that I had contact with (A+E and Rainbow ward) were kind and compassionate. They are a credit to the hospital.

Children Ark UHL
My 5 year old daughter was admitted for 2 nights in October. The teachers in the children's ark school were absolutely outstanding in making her feel comfortable while there, she was delighted to be able to do some school work and was so happy to receive by post the painting she had done when we got home the following week. There were 2 teachers, Kathleen and the other girls name has slipped my mind but they were both fantastic and I just want to thank them and compliment them. It makes such a difference to the children when they are able to access such a great environment at a difficult time. Thank you!

Absolutely amazing nurses and Doctors doing everything they can with the services available to them. Always checked in with me and tried their best to make me comfortable as possible even though they are so busy. 5 stars to the workers

Cardiology Day Ward
I would just like to say a huge thank you to the doctors nurses cleaners porters and catering staff on the cardiac day ward for the wonderful professional care and kindness they showed me when I had an angiogram yesterday, they were simply amazing!!
