Clinical management of tobacco dependency UHL

The goal for UHL hospital in managing tobacco dependency clinically is to ensure that over 90% of admitted patients are screened for smoking. For the patients who are identified as smokers, at least 90% of them should be offered support. This support could include giving them advice on how to quit smoking, offering them Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) to help them manage cravings, and referring them to a specialist who can provide additional help and support.
