Promoting Nursing and Midwifery Showcase Event -   19th of April 2024 CERC UHL

The Promoting Nursing and Midwifery Planning Team are holding a showcasing event in the CERC on April 19th to promote Nursing and Midwifery as a career.

The below flyer has been sent to career guidance teachers in schools in Limerick, Clare, Tipperary and North Cork with a fantastic response.

 

The agenda for the morning is as follows:

•9am  Interactive stands showcasing various Nursing and Midwifery disciplines will be set up throughout CERC rooms
•10am to 12 noon – Students will arrive, register and visit the stands
•11am – Arrival of the Liam McCarthy Cup with special guests. Two of the Limerick Hurlers will speak on their experiences of teamwork, motivation and their experiences of healthcare

ULHG Safer Staffing update

 



Phase 1 for Medical and Surgical Wards UHL

Trendcare rolled out in all 21 wards and AMAU.

National Trendcare review completed on the 20.02.2024.

Emergency Department, UHL

Safer Staffing Staff Nurse uplift of 21.50 WTE was received and recruitment is completed.

Model 2 Hospitals: Nenagh & Ennis

Nenagh and Ennis were approved under the Safer Staffing Framework in  2023. Recruitment has commenced and is ongoing.

A revised Business Case for uplift of CNM 1, CNM 3 and HCA was submitted under the Safer Staffing Framework in Jan 2024, update is awaited.
