ED and Ward 3D UHL

I went to A&E on a Monday morning as I had shortness of breath and felt the same as I had done a few years previous when I needed stents fitted. From the minute I got there I met a lovely girl at reception who was very helpful, I then quickly seen a lovely nurse who again was very helpful and re assuring. I was in ED for a while in Zone A, had bloods, x-rays etc. When I first got there it wasn't too busy but as the day went on it was manic but regardless of how busy it got everyone I met - from doctors to nurses to receptionists to cleaners were so friendly and helpful and the catering staff were also very good bringing us out sandwiches and tea / coffee while we were waiting.

Given how busy it was and how over crowded it became as the afternoon came around I just wanted to commend your wonderful staff. They really do go above and beyond late in the night then I went to ward 3D on a trolley and subsequently got a bed the next day.

Again everyone on that ward was so friendly and helpful and couldn't have done any more for me. I was there a couple of days, had some more tests and seen a lovely cardiologist. Thankfully I didn't need any stents but am now on updated medication and have been told I will be referred to a cardiology outpatient clinic for monitored follow up in the future. As such I just wanted to express my gratitude for my care.

UMHL

Was in the ward after giving birth, and met so many of the staff members, but Caroline was exceptional, extremely helpful, friendly and reassuring, great personality and energy of her, an absolute benefit for the hospital and patients! I was extremely anxious for many reasons, but she made my stay there that much more easy and peaceful . Thank you

Surgical Dental Nenagh

I just want to compliment all the staff involved in the treatment of my son Danny today. He had a tooth extracted under general anaesthetic and the experience for him was absolutely brilliant. All staff were so kind and reassuring and made Danny feel really comfortable in what could have been a daunting time. Thanks so much to all.

University Hospital Limerick Childrens Ark

I just want to thank the amazing staff of Rainbow Ward UHL in particular Lindsay ,Gemma & Ava for their kindness, care, patience and support towards my 5 week old son Charlie. The staff are walking angels and given they are so so busy they make time for every patient and as a concerned mother to a very vulnerable 5 week old they made me feel very comfortable knowing Charlie was in their care.

Surgical Assessment Unit UHL

I am a Dialysis patient, I have a visual impairment along with a few other health issues. I had to walk from one side of the hospital to the other side the Laben building. I was struggling. My blood pressure was low and I was just finding it difficult. Even though I had a walking aid I still struggled. Then a very kind member of staff offered to help. She put me into a wheelchair and helped me to where I needed to go. She introduced herself as Ann as we chatted we came to realise that we knew our families. This woman couldn’t have been more helpful to me. Her name is Ann Meehan who works in the Surgical assessment unit.

Endoscopy Unit Ennis

I visited the hospital recently to collect my mother after her operation. I was not sure where I was going and I was spotted by Ger on the reception desk. He asked me where did I need to go  and I told him I was collecting my mother. He very kindly told me take a seat and he would let the nurses know in was here.

He was a thorough gentleman and very helpful as I was confused as to where I was going.

As we were leaving he smiled at us and wished us a happy valentines day. My mother was delighted and it cheered her up.

Mam said to me how nice Ger was when she arrived that morning and that he walked her over to the waiting area also. Ger is very good engaging with patients and this could be seen while I was waiting for Mam. He looks at the person while talking to them. He makes them feel very relaxed as they can be a bit anxious going to hospital. It was a pleasure to meet Ger and he is a credit to the department he works in. I hope to meet him again if I ever return to the hospital. The service he provides and the interaction with patients is very professional while also been attentive to patients. Thank you from myself and my mother for been so caring and helpful to us both.

Injury unit Nenagh Hospital

I attended the unit with a problem in my wrist. I was very impressed with the promptness of treatment, the ability of the staff and the kindness of the staff. I had to return today 14/03/2024 for a follow up and again was very impressed with the staff both in the unit and in X-ray. We hear so much bad reports about hospitals that I just feel that a little appreciation for the staff and hospital is in order. Thank you everyone in the unit.
