Colposcopy Clinic, Maternity Hospital Limerick

I want to compliment the amazing nurses that I dealt with today. They were so lovely, thorough, calming and took their time to guide me through the process. The experience I had in the clinic was 10 out of 10. They went above and beyond to ensure I was as calm and comfortable as possible. Please let these absolutely fabulous women know that they are doing extraordinary work and they should be very proud of their amazing kindness with the patients , knowledge and treatment skills.

ED University Hospital Limerick

I attended the emergency department, after sustaining a bad injury at a football match. From the minute I got out of the car, the care and support I received from the porter, to the nurse, right through to the registrar was exceptional. They were extremely diligent in there work and made me feel at ease as I was in alot of pain. I noticed the environment was calm which made me feel at ease. I'm writing this on the way home as I feel that A&E get such a bad reputation, that what I not only witnessed and experienced was outstanding and needs to be recognised. I would like you to pass on my thanks to the portar Eileen, nurse manager smitha and registrar David.

Ward 4D and Surgical Assessment Unit University Hospital Limerick

Hi, I am writing to compliment the excellent care I received when I was hospitalised from 15/8 - 25-8-23. I was referred to A&E by my GP and being honest given the publicity about the hospital I was worried I was going to have a poor experience and long wait times . I am delighted to say that the opposite was the case . When I first arrived in a and e I was seen promptly by the triage nurse who arranged for me to be sent directly to the surgical assessment unit . The staff there were just outstanding . I’m sorry I didn’t note the names but the care and attention I received from two nurses on the first night I was there was exceptional . Dr Tormeys team looked after me briefly and they swiftly arranged a number of tests to get to the crux of my problem . The communication was excellent at all times with Dr Tormeys team who were also so pleasant . I was then admitted to ward 4D and again the care was just exceptional . The nurses were so kind and caring not just to me but to everyone they interacted with . The catering staff were so friendly and efficient . While I didn’t require the support of the health care assistants there was a patient with a lot of needs beside me and the care and attention they gave this lady was above and beyond . UHL and limerick are so lucky to have such a kind and caring team of professionals and I want to thank you for looking after me so well . Keep up the good work , Laura
